The Sea Withdrew

It has been literal ages since I’ve been on here. I figured it was time to spruce things up a bit. The long-awaited squeal too, From A Youth A Fountain, Did Flow, titled The Sea Withdrew comes out on March 5th.

The second installment in the Fountain of Youth series is a journey that transcends time, testing loyalty and revealing the captivating unknown, reminiscent of, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue.

The gripping aftermath of a heart-stopping cliffhanger leaves Scarlet facing an unimaginable challenge—Zig is now a vessel for the demon, Dagon. In a desperate bid to save Zig’s life, Scarlet strikes a Faustian bargain. She agrees to go with Dagon forever in exchange for Zig’s release. If she reneges on her deal, Zig’s life becomes forfeit.

The journey to fulfill this dark pact is far from simple. Scarlet and Dagon must find a new host for the ancient entity. As they navigate this perilous quest, Dagon surprises Scarlet with a mysterious journal, a key to unlocking memories of the countless women Scarlet has been in her past lives.

The revelations within the journal open Scarlet’s eyes to a world beyond her wildest imagination. She discovers the vastness of existence and comes to question everything she thought she knew about Dagon. Is there more to him than the malevolence she once believed, or is he manipulating her for his own sinister agenda?

The stakes are higher, the secrets deeper, and Scarlet’s journey becomes a test of loyalty, self-discovery, and the true nature of the world around her. Will Scarlet sacrifice everything for Zig, or will the allure of newfound knowledge and the enigmatic Dagon prove too irresistible?

Mythiverse

I’m so excited to annouce that I’m teaming up with Justin Jackson to write as Isla Watts in a new middle grade seires called The Mythiverse. A series where mythical creatures face everyday challenges. Think RL Stine meets Judy Blume. They’re stories about monsters in the mythology, but there’s heart, self love, friendship, and family.

Enter The Mythiverse: March 19th, 2024. The first six books come out all together and there will be roughly one a month after that for the rest of the year.

Needless to say, I’ve been busy and this year will be a doozy, in the best way humanly possible. This summer I have a new YA series droping, that I can’t talk about just yet. When I can, you’ll be the first to know.

Rainbow Quartz is growing. There’s a new romance author, Jax Wilder. She’s got a spicy (and I do mean 🌶️🌶️🌶️ spicy) Christmas story called Sleighed By Love. And on February 19th, her new novella, Harvesting Love, drops. I’ve read both and they have so much heart. They’re both part of the Coral Cove series. I’m not sure what else she’s got cooking but if you’re in the mood for a bit of spice and holiday magic (even in February), I’d recommend them.

I think that’s most of the writing updates for now. We’ve been out at lots of signing events the last few months. Our next big event is NorWesCon, be sure to come say hi at the Rainbow Quartz Publishing booth!
