Why This Book Almost Broke Me (and Why I Wrote It Anyway)

Some say the world will end in fire.
Some say in ice.
Scarlet knows it ends in memory.

And for me? This trilogy ends in the quiet moment after you hit publish—when the story no longer belongs to me, but to you.

Book 3 of The Fountain of Youth trilogy is finally out.
What I’ve Tasted of Desire was the hardest book I’ve ever written—and the one I’m most proud of.

Ten years ago, I started this story between coffee shop refills and chaotic writing nights. I had no idea what it would become. Scarlet was supposed to be a girl fighting for survival. I didn’t realize she’d become a myth, a memory, a revolution.

I didn’t know how many times my life would fall apart while trying to finish her story. Or how long it would take to pick it all back up.

Book one took four weeks to write.
Book two took three months.
Book three? Three weeks. And four full re-outlines. It twisted right when I expected it to go left. It demanded more of me than any story ever has.

But I kept going. And now it’s yours.

✨ This is a story about reincarnation, yes. But also about reclaiming your story—your voice—even when the world (or a centuries-old magical Circle) tries to silence it.
✨ It’s about love that survives lifetimes. And the power of memory to heal, destroy, or rebuild.
✨ It’s about choosing yourself. Again and again.

If you’ve already read the first two books: I love you. You’re a real one.
If you haven’t started yet—there’s no better time. The full trilogy is here. The world is waiting.

“Scarlet is such a relatable character—her flaws make her real, and her courage feels earned.”
– Amazon Reviewer

“…never dull…a neat twist on the concepts of the fountain of youth and reincarnation.”
Kirkus Reviews

Here’s where to find the books:

I can’t promise you won’t cry. I can promise Scarlet will make it worth it.

Thanks for walking through fire with me.

Now go find out how it ends.

With gratitude (and probably a few tears),
