Whenever I finish a book, I get a small thrill. This is some mix of euphoria from the completion of another last page, and the excitement and wonder of a new beginning. Do I start a new one the same day, or wait while trying to live in the last world a few extra hours? Decisions, decisions.
I just finished In the Unlikely Event by Judy Blume, a far cry from The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss but wonderful in it’s own right. Gun to my head, I couldn’t pick a genre if I had too. I simply love a good story, in any way shape or form.
I just picked up a copy of The Walking Dead Compendium One as well as a novel called The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Clair North and Unequal Affections by Lara S. Ormiston. Oh!! I just remembered I forgot I just got The Importance of Being Ernest by Ernest Cline in the mail! A collection of nerdy SiFi poetry. I think we both know where I’ll start.
What are your favorite books? I have so many but I always love to hear what others love to read. I by most of my books on recommendations from other people and I’m always looking for new suggestions!
